Taking a class at another institution?

Want to know how it will transfer to KU?

Here are a few easy steps...

  1. Decide where you want to take the course(s) and which course(s) you want to take.
  2. Visit CredTran, KU's online transfer equivalency system, for a fast evaluation to see how the course(s) would transfer to KU.
  3. If the online system doesn't list the course(s) you want to take, come see us at 109 Strong Hall for a Tentative Evaluation of Credit form. Fill out the form and leave it with us. After about 2 weeks, come back, pick it up, and find out how the course(s) you want to take will transfer to KU.

Remember to check the transfer credit hours!

Some schools operate on a quarters system (instead of a semester system).

Example: 5-hour course on the quarters system transfers to KU as 3.3 hours.
