Paul has been a full-time premedical advisor since 1996.
He meets with prospective, current and former students, who are interested
in becoming physicians, dentists, optometrists, or veterinarians. Other
tasks include:
- leading small-group summer orientation advising sessions
- meeting individually for enrollment planning with assigned first-year
advisees
- composing and sending a weekly e-mail newsletter to premedical students
- attending and presenting at student organization meetings
- stocking reference books
- preparing and copying handouts
- developing and maintaining the premedical website
- meeting individually with students who are applying to dental, medical,
optometry or veterinary schools
- conducting practice interviews
- distributing information to faculty who also advise premedical students
