Britta Ernst

Britta joined the CLA&S team in July 2007. She is the new Advising Specialist in the Spanish & Portuguese Department.

Her main responsibilities are to manage basic language enrollment, advise Spanish majors and facilitate the study abroad process. Contact her for an appointment about any of these issues or just to chat about living in another country.

Her international experiences include: six weeks in Argentina as a high school student; six months in KU’s semester abroad in Costa Rica; four weeks on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula where she obtained a certificate to teach ESL; and almost a year living and traveling in South America, with the most time spent teaching ESL in Lima, Peru. She hopes to visit the rest of the world at some point.
