Tentative Evaluation Form(TEF) Policy
The request for tentative evaluation of credit form can be picked up in The
College Student Academic Services Office, 109 Strong Hall. This form provides
a tentative evaluation of course work that you plan to complete at another
college/university and transfer to KU.
Forms should be turned in to the school where you plan to complete your degree.
Forms returned to The College Student Academic Services Office are typically
available within two weeks after you have submitted it. You may receive the
completed copy in two ways:
- The student returns to The College Student Academic Services Office, 109
Strong Hall, within two weeks and asks for the form at the front counter.
(TEFs are held until the end of the semester for which they have been completed.)
- The student leaves a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the TEF and
we will mail it to the student once it is completed.
After completing course work, request that the college/university send your
official transcript to the University of Kansas, Office of Admissions and
Scholarships, KU Visitor Center, 1502 Iowa, Lawrence, KS 66045. After that
transcript is received, an official evaluation will be made, and the credit
awarded will be added to your KU record. Quarter hours will be converted to
semester hours as follows: 1 quarter hour = 2/3 semester hour.
